Best Amazon Affiliate Plugins for WordPress (2026)

Last updated: 2026-10-26
Quick Answer

What is the best Amazon affiliate plugin for WordPress?

It depends on what your pages are made of. AAWP suits sites built from product boxes and bestseller lists, and AffiliateX suits sites built from native Gutenberg blocks. Lasso is the pick for managing links across many affiliate programs, and Content Egg Pro for price comparison across retailers. PaapiPlugin, which we make, lets you start free with no API credentials needed yet, and adds live Amazon search on your own pages to grids, product boxes and comparison tables.

Who wrote this, and how we checked

We make PaapiPlugin, one of the plugins below, so read our section with that in mind. Several of the "best Amazon affiliate plugin" lists you'll find are written by plugin vendors, and this one is too. What we can do is show our sources and say plainly where another plugin is the better pick.

Every claim about another plugin comes from that vendor's own pricing page, documentation, changelog or WordPress.org listing, all checked on 2026-10-25, and the comparison table links to the vendor pages we used. Prices move often, so treat them as correct at the time of writing (October 2026) and confirm on the vendor's page before you pay.

What should you look for in an Amazon affiliate plugin?

These five questions do most of the sorting.

How does it get product data? Most plugins use Creators API credentials, which Amazon issues to your Associates account. Amazon's Creators API documentation asks for at least 10 qualifying sales within the past 30 days before it grants access. Some vendors also run a hosted connection with a quota, so find out which one you'd be on and what it shows on the card.
Does it build the displays your pages need? Product boxes, comparison tables, bestseller lists, grids and on-site search are different jobs. Some plugins do one of them well, some do several.
Does it fit your editor? A few plugins ship native Gutenberg blocks. Others, ours included, work through shortcodes that you drop into a Shortcode block or a page builder's shortcode element.
What does the free version actually include? Several plugins have a free version on WordPress.org but keep the Amazon connection itself in the paid plan.
Is anyone still maintaining it? Check the last-updated date on WordPress.org or the vendor's changelog. Two Amazon plugins covered further down have been closed on WordPress.org for security issues.

If Creators API support is your main question, our list of WordPress plugins for the Creators API goes deeper on that one point.

Which plugins work without your own API credentials?

Most plugins here connect with Creators API credentials issued to your Associates account. Several vendors also run a hosted connection, so you can set up a page with no credentials entered at all. What you get varies a lot:

  • PaapiPlugin includes its Managed API in the free version, at 20 searches a day and 600 a month. On the Personal and Professional plans, Premium raises that to 1,200 a month per site.
  • AAWP sells the AAWP API from €7 a month for up to 150 products. Bestseller lists aren't supported on it, and AAWP itself calls it "not a full replacement". Its feature page is also unclear on whether you need a plugin license as well: one FAQ says the API works on its own, while the footer says a valid plugin license is required.
  • AffiliateX puts "Zero API" in Pro, with 3,000 product requests a month per license. Each search, new fetch or manual refresh uses one.
  • Lasso paid plans include Amazon images and pricing through Lasso's own API access. The free Lasso Lite needs your own credentials.
  • Content Egg has an Amazon NoAPI module in Pro.
  • affiliate-toolkit offers a no-API mode for new partners in its paid passes.
  • AzonPress uses "Zero API" to mean adding products by hand.

Going by each vendor's own pages, PaapiPlugin is the only plugin in this roundup whose free version includes a hosted connection to Amazon product data with no credentials of your own.

One trade-off to know about. On PaapiPlugin's Managed API, a product card shows a "Check price on Amazon" link instead of a price. Connect your Creators API credentials when you want prices on the card.

The plugins, one by one

PaapiPlugin (ours)

This one is ours, so weigh it accordingly. PaapiPlugin is free on WordPress.org, and you can start with no credentials needed yet: switch on the Managed API, enter your Associate tag and an email address, and a search page works on the free tier. When you have Creators API credentials, you enter them in settings and press Test Connection.

It covers what the display plugins on this list do. One shortcode builds a product grid or a category page, and two $19/year add-ons, which need Premium, add product boxes and comparison tables. On top of that, visitors get live Amazon search on your page, with autocomplete, so they can find products you never linked by hand. Every result carries your Associate tag.

[psfa_search]
[psfa_search category="Electronics" pagination="none" count="6" hide_search="true" hide_filters="true"]

The first line gives visitors a search box. The second shows a fixed grid of six products.

The free version includes 5 categories and up to 5 pages of results. Premium is $39 a year for one site, $69 for three and $99 for unlimited sites, and it opens every category your Amazon store offers, up to Amazon's 10-page ceiling.

Best for: starting free with no credentials needed yet, and sites where visitors should be able to search Amazon without leaving. Where others win: there is no native Gutenberg block or Elementor widget. PaapiPlugin works through shortcodes, placed with the Shortcode block or Elementor's Shortcode widget (steps for both editors). If you build pages from blocks, AffiliateX fits that workflow better.

AAWP

AAWP is a paid plugin, now on version 5.1, and it isn't on WordPress.org. It's built around display: product boxes, bestseller lists, comparison tables and data fields. Creators API support arrived in 5.0.0 in January 2026, and it ships a migration tool for AmaLinks Pro sites.

Pricing is €79 a year for one site, €129 for three, or €299 lifetime for one site, all before tax, with a 30-day money-back window.

Best for: sites made of product boxes and bestseller lists that don't need on-site search. As a pure display tool, AAWP is more mature than we are, and if display is all you need, that counts. Our AAWP alternative page compares the two in detail.

AffiliateX

AffiliateX is a block plugin with a free version on WordPress.org. It ships more than 20 Gutenberg blocks, coupon and versus blocks among them, and also supports Elementor. Pro adds the Amazon API connection, eBay and AliExpress, and a broken link checker.

Pro is $69 a year for one site or $199 lifetime, with a 14-day money-back window.

Best for: building affiliate pages from native Gutenberg blocks. This is the clearest case on the list where a competitor does something we don't, because PaapiPlugin has no native blocks. See our AffiliateX alternative page.

Lasso

Lasso is a link manager first. You get a link dashboard, broken link alerts, analytics, link localization on Pro and above, a Chrome extension, and imports from AAWP, Pretty Links and ThirstyAffiliates.

Lasso Lite is free on WordPress.org and needs your own Amazon credentials. Paid plans start with Creator at $19 a month, billed $190 a year for one site.

Best for: sites that run many affiliate programs and want one place to manage every link. On an Amazon-only site, much of what you pay for may go unused. Our Lasso alternative page goes through the differences.

Content Egg

Content Egg is made for multi-network sites. The free version is on WordPress.org, but the Amazon modules are Pro. Pro adds 32 network modules, including Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Walmart, AWIN, CJ and Rakuten, along with price comparison, price history and a deals post type.

Pro costs $59 a year or $149 lifetime for one site. If the license lapses, the plugin keeps working without updates or support, which is a fair policy.

Best for: price comparison and deal sites that pull from several retailers. Our Content Egg Pro alternative page covers the rest.

affiliate-toolkit

affiliate-toolkit comes from an Austrian developer and covers more than 15 networks, including eBay, AWIN, Tradedoubler, billiger.de and Geizhals. Its Creators API connector is in every tier, the free Starter version included.

The Niche Pass lists at €99 a year for one install, VAT included. When a pass expires, boxes stay on the page but stop syncing.

Best for: a free Creators API connection, or sites that also earn through European price comparison networks.

AzonPress

AzonPress is a paid plugin from WPManageNinja. It isn't on WordPress.org, and we found no free plan. Version 2.3.0, released in July 2026, made the Creators API its only data source and removed Prime badges, lowest price and offer count. Layouts cover grid, box, list, table and widget, with link cloaking, geo-targeting and bestseller lists.

The pricing page shows the single-site plan at $2.27 a month billed annually, struck through from $3.25, and lifetime at $199.

Best for: paid display layouts with cloaking and geo-targeting built in. There's a side-by-side on our AzonPress alternative page.

Also worth knowing

  • WZone imports Amazon products into WooCommerce as store products, at $49 per install on its own site. We couldn't confirm Creators API support.
  • Tableberg is a Gutenberg table block that lists Amazon product tables as a use case. We found no Amazon API integration, so as far as we can tell, product details are entered by hand.
  • Affiliatable is a cloud service with a WordPress shortcode plugin and a free tier of 30 tables and boxes. It lists an Amazon API integration, but we couldn't confirm Creators API support.

Which Amazon affiliate plugins should you avoid?

If any of these three is on your shortlist, or still on your site, here is where each one stands.

Not recommended for a new site in 2026:
  • Amazon Auto Links was closed on WordPress.org on 2025-11-07 for a security issue. The newest entry in its public changelog is from April 2024.
  • EasyAzon was closed on WordPress.org on 2024-06-04 for a security issue, and easyazon.com now redirects to AAWP.
  • AmaLinks Pro's owners closed the business and ended support on 2025-12-29, telling customers by email that the standard plugin would stop working once its license servers went offline (a customer posted the email). Its website was not loading when we checked in October 2026, and AAWP now ships a migration tool for it.

If you're replacing one, the guide to migrating an abandoned Amazon affiliate plugin walks through finding the old shortcodes and rebuilding your pages. For AmaLinks shortcodes in particular, see our AmaLinks Pro alternative page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Amazon affiliate plugin for WordPress?

It depends on the job. AAWP suits sites built from product boxes and bestseller lists, and AffiliateX suits sites built from native Gutenberg blocks. Lasso suits sites that manage links across many affiliate programs, and Content Egg Pro suits price comparison across retailers. PaapiPlugin, which we make, lets you start free with no API credentials needed yet and adds live Amazon search on your own pages to grids, product boxes and comparison tables.

Is there a free Amazon affiliate plugin for WordPress?

Yes. PaapiPlugin, AffiliateX, affiliate-toolkit, Content Egg and Lasso Lite all have free versions on WordPress.org, but they stop in different places. affiliate-toolkit's free Starter includes a Creators API connector; AffiliateX and Content Egg keep their Amazon connection in Pro, and Lasso Lite needs your own Amazon credentials. PaapiPlugin's free version includes the Managed API at 20 searches a day and 600 a month, plus 5 categories and up to 5 pages of results.

Do I need Amazon API credentials to use an Amazon affiliate plugin?

Most plugins connect through Amazon's Creators API with credentials issued to your Associates account. Some also offer a hosted connection that needs no credentials of your own, usually with a monthly quota and usually on a paid plan. PaapiPlugin's Managed API is included in its free version, so you can set up a page with no credentials needed yet and connect your Creators API credentials later.

Which Amazon affiliate plugins should I avoid?

Amazon Auto Links was closed on WordPress.org on 2025-11-07 for a security issue. EasyAzon was closed on WordPress.org on 2024-06-04 for a security issue, and its domain now redirects to AAWP. AmaLinks Pro's owners closed the business and ended support on 2025-12-29, telling customers by email that the standard plugin would stop working once its license servers went offline. Its website was not loading when we checked in October 2026, and AAWP now ships a migration tool for it.

Does PaapiPlugin have a Gutenberg block or Elementor widget?

No. PaapiPlugin works through shortcodes, which you place with the Shortcode block in Gutenberg or the Shortcode widget in Elementor. If you want to build pages from native blocks, AffiliateX is designed around them.

Is PaapiPlugin only a search plugin?

No. One shortcode builds product grids and category pages, and two $19/year add-ons that require Premium add product boxes and comparison tables. Live Amazon search on your own pages comes on top of that, in the free version too.
