Best Amazon Product Box Plugin for WordPress (2026)

Last updated: 2026-09-24. Competitor prices checked on each vendor's own pricing page that day.
Quick Answer

What is the best Amazon product box plugin for WordPress?

It depends on what else the box has to do. AAWP is the established paid choice for boxes, bestseller lists and comparison tables. AffiliateX suits sites built in the block editor, and affiliate-toolkit or Affiliate Amazon Shortcode will get you a box for free. If you want product boxes and live Amazon search on the same site, PaapiPlugin with its Product Boxes add-on does both, from $58 a year.

A product box is easy to add. Keeping it accurate is harder.

Every Amazon product box looks much the same on the day you publish it: an image, a title, some stars, a price and an orange button. The differences show up months later, when the price has moved, the listing has been replaced, or the plugin behind the box has stopped being developed.

The last of those has already happened once in this category. AmaLinks Pro, a product box plugin, shut down on December 29, 2025. If you were running it, our AmaLinks Pro alternative page covers the move.

Check the date on any roundup before you act on it. aThemes' list (last updated January 20, 2025) and WP Table Builder's (January 6, 2026) still recommend AmaLinks Pro. HeroThemes' June 2026 list prices AAWP at €39, while AAWP's own pricing page shows €79 a year. Every price in this post came from the vendor's own page on 2026-09-24.

What a good Amazon product box needs

Decide what the box has to do before you compare plugins. These five things separate a box that holds up from one you end up rebuilding.

Live data, not data you typed in

A box that pulls its title, image and price from Amazon keeps itself current. A box you fill in by hand is a static ad that goes out of date the day the price changes. Some plugins let you create custom products without an API connection. That helps with the odd product Amazon won't return, but every one of them is a box you maintain yourself.

Ratings and prices you can trust

What a box can show depends on the data behind it. In our own integration, Amazon's Creators API returns price and deal data but no customer reviews, so star ratings on that connection have to come from somewhere else. Ask any plugin where its stars come from.

A fit for your editor

Some plugins give you native Gutenberg blocks or Elementor widgets. Others use shortcodes, which work in the block editor and most page builders but are less visual to place. Pick whichever matches how you already build posts.

A plan for products that disappear

Amazon listings get removed and replaced. A good box shows a placeholder or a clear unavailable state. A bad one leaves a hole in your review, or a buy button that leads nowhere.

A license that fits your site count

Per-site pricing adds up fast across a portfolio. Check how many sites one license covers before you compare sticker prices.

AAWP

AAWP is a paid plugin built for Amazon displays. It builds product boxes, bestseller lists and comparison tables that, in AAWP's words, "update automatically", and AAWP says it runs on more than 100,000 sites. Its documentation covers connecting the Creators API.

AAWP's pricing page lists €79 a year for one site, or €299 one-time. It isn't on WordPress.org, so there is no free version to try first. We compare it with our plugin in more detail on the AAWP alternative page.

AffiliateX

AffiliateX is built around blocks. Its Single Product block works in Gutenberg and Elementor and shows an image, star rating, price and buy button, next to 20+ other blocks. The core plugin is free on WordPress.org.

Pro was displayed at $55 a year on 2026-09-24. AffiliateX's own roundup quotes Pro "from $79/year", though, so the lower figure may be a promotion.

AzonPress

AzonPress offers Grid, Box, List, Table and Widget layouts, and it can show custom products without the API. Its pricing page showed $39 a year for one site and $249 lifetime, with discounts applied at the time.

The free options

If your budget is zero, start here.

  • affiliate-toolkit: the free core includes 20+ ready-made templates for product boxes, comparison tables and lists.
  • Affiliate Amazon Shortcode: a free shortcode box with title, image, price and savings, when Amazon returns them.
  • Affiliate AI Lite: free product boxes through the Creators API. Its no-API mode needs Pro.
  • Lasso Lite: Lasso's free tier includes single product displays. Paid plans start at $19 a month, billed $190 a year.

PaapiPlugin with Product Boxes

Start with the cost, because it isn't free. Product Boxes is a $19-a-year add-on that needs Premium at $39, so the minimum is $58 a year. One add-on purchase covers every site on your license.

The workflow is the part we're proudest of. You search Amazon from inside the plugin, click "+ Box" on a result, and the product lands in your saved library, so you never go looking for an ASIN. Boxes come in card, horizontal and minimal layouts, with up to five feature bullets and winner badges such as Editor's Choice or Budget Pick. If Amazon stops returning a product, the box shows a placeholder card instead of disappearing from your post.

One limit to know about: there is no native block or Elementor widget. Boxes are a shortcode, which works in the block editor and in page builders.

Product boxes plus live search, in one plugin

A product box sells the product you picked. It does nothing for the reader who wanted the cheaper model, a different size, or something you never reviewed. That reader opens Amazon in another tab and buys there, without your tag.

PaapiPlugin was built for that reader. The free core plugin builds product grids and category pages and puts live Amazon search on any page, all from one shortcode, [psfa_search], and every result carries your Associate tag. Add Premium and the add-ons, and the same install also handles product boxes and comparison tables, sharing one set of Amazon settings and one product cache.

So you get a complete product box plugin and live search in one install. The other route, a box plugin next to a separate search plugin, means two sets of settings and two subscriptions. Our guide to the best free Amazon affiliate plugin covers what the free version does on its own (product grids, category pages and live search), and the comparison tables guide covers the other add-on.

What your boxes show depends on how you connect

PaapiPlugin connects to Amazon through the Managed API or through your own Creators API credentials. Boxes work on both, but they don't show the same things.

What a Product Boxes card shows on each connection.
Box element Managed API Your Creators API credentials
Title, image, brand, feature bullets Yes Yes
Star rating and review count Yes, from Amazon Yes, from the rating you set per product
Prime badge When Amazon flags the product No
Price, "Was" price, discount, deal badges No Yes
Before you build review pages around boxes: on the Managed API, product boxes show no price, "Was" price, discount or deal badge. The reader sees the current price on Amazon after clicking. If prices in your boxes matter to your reviews, connect your own Creators API credentials.

Product boxes, plus search your readers can use

Premium is $39 a year for one site, $69 for three and $99 for unlimited. Product Boxes adds $19 a year and covers every site on the license. Contact us within 7 days and we'll refund 100% of your money if you experience an issue that makes the plugin unusable and we are unable to resolve it.

Is there a free Amazon product box plugin?

Yes. The free core of affiliate-toolkit includes product box templates, Affiliate Amazon Shortcode is a free shortcode box, Affiliate AI Lite offers free boxes through the Creators API, and Lasso Lite includes single product displays. PaapiPlugin's free version builds product grids and category pages plus live Amazon search. Its product boxes are a paid add-on that needs Premium.

Is AmaLinks Pro still available?

Do PaapiPlugin product boxes show Amazon prices?

Does PaapiPlugin have a Gutenberg block for product boxes?

No. Product boxes are added with a shortcode, which works in the block editor and in page builders. If you want native blocks, AffiliateX is built around them.
